SBJH Launches MinI Day Surgery Unit

At a formal launch held at the Balaji Auditorium on July16 2007, the first ever exclusive Orthoapedic Day Surgery Centre in India was inaugurated by Honourable Minister Thiru. Arcot.N.Veeraswamy, Minister for Electricity, Government of TamilNadu.

MinI Day Surgery is a minimally invasive (MinI) surgical procedure where a patient is discharged the very same day as the procedure.The concept of day surgery centres or ambulatory centres has been popular abroad for years. About 80 per cent of the surgeries are done in such centres, across segments such as General, ENT, Orthopaedics etc.

Recognising the numerous benefits to patients and the hospital alike, we at the Soundarapandian Bone & Joint Hospital have now introduced the first ever exclusive Orthopaedic Day Surgery Centre in India.
